Run and have fun with the Woodland Walkies Fur Club…
No one likes being cooped up at home all day least of all dogs. A dog needs mental and physical stimulation and loves to socialise and play with other dogs.
Let your pet enjoy the company of other dogs to run, chase, sniff and play with their friends. Our walks are in an environment where it is safe for them to be let off the lead (subject to your permission and general recall response of the pet), so that they can have the best exercise possible. This is the best possible way for your dog to be socialized and we have every type of dog from spaniel puppies to 13 year olds joining in the fun.
We collect your pet in one of our vans and then usually take the Woodland Walkies Fur Club to a rural location or the beach where they can run to their hearts content. If the weather is wet they are towel dried on their return home.
Areas we cover and pick up your Pet for Dog Walking are only in Penarth and Cogan.
Our walkers will collect your dog from home and give your pet a full hour’s walk before dropping them back off again. Once we have initially met you and your pet during the free consultation meeting we can begin your walk routine. Dog walking days/times are set by you once you register onto our client portal system – we work round your schedule as things change for some of our clients week to week.
Our dog walking services are ideal if you work all day, have a business meeting, need to go shopping or just have other commitments that mean you can’t take your dog for his regular walk.
- Vaccinations: Kennel cough or infectious bronchitis is a very contagious disease of the respiratory system that can affect dogs of all ages. We recommend that dogs be vaccinated at least seven days before using our dog walking services, as we cannot accept any dogs that have contracted kennel cough. So please take along your dog’s vaccination certificate when you meet your dog walker to show that your pet’s vaccinations are up to date.
- Fleas and worms
For public health reasons, you must deflea and worm your dog before using our dog walking services. - Cancellation
If you have a regular dog walking service you must give at least 24 hours notice to cancel or you will be charged in full. - Aggressive dogs
We cannot accept dogs that are badly behaved wear a muzzle or are aggressive towards other dogs or people. If your dog walker feels your dog is aggressive we have the right to terminate your contract immediately. All pets are always kept on their leads, unless other arrangements have been discussed with the owners. On your client portal there is a section that has to be ticked if you wish for your pet to go off the lead in a safe environment. - Keys
We ask all our clients after their initial free consultation to supply a set of key for Woodland Walkies.
During our first initial 30 minute free consultation you will have the opportunity to meet us in person and have a more in depth chat about your Pet.
We will always contact you after the first walk to let you know how it all went and provide you with daily Facebook updates, pictures and videos. We welcome the opportunity of you walking with us on the initial walk, so that your much loved pet gets used to having us give them the exercise they need.
